Refund Policy

The following is an addition to the County’s Rental Policies: 1. Refunds may be requested for rentals of all facilities that the County elects to make available for exclusive reservation. All refund requests will be processed by the Parks and Recreation staff and submitted to the Recreation Superintendent for approval. Requests must be made prior to the event. Post event requests will be denied unless service cannot be rendered by Parks and Recreation. 2. Rental Refund Schedule: a. Event/Rental Refund Request made 14 days or more prior to the event date shall be eligible for a full refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee. b. Event/Rental Refund Requests made 13 to 7 days prior to the event date shall be eligible for a refund of half the total amount of the rental. c. Event/Rental Refund Requests made with 6 days prior to the event date will forfeit entire amount paid for the rental. 3. Inclement Weather/Facility Failure – In cases where weather does not allow for use of facility or there is circumstance with the facility that makes it unusable, a full refund or a credit for a makeup date may be issued by Parks and Recreation. 4. Refund Request Procedure: a. Renter shall communicate with Parks and Recreation of their intent to cancel the rental. Communication should be followed by a letter, fax or e-mail explaining the circumstances of the cancellation, contact information and address to which the funds can be returned. b.
